KTA Trail Crew on the MST

June 20 to 24, 2001

Ramsey relocation on Houselander Mountain. This relocation eliminated most of a dangerous road walk on PA 44. The original route has been blue-blazed. The crew cut nearly 3 KM of sidehill, opened a path through the thickest laurel anyone had seen, and build 30 M of check steps to take the trail up the embankment from the highway. All in four days! The rain poured down on the fourth day, but that didn't keep us from our pulaskis and mattocks. On the fifth day, we polished.

As you can see, this group was too busy working to stop and pose for me.  They sure made me feel like a slacker!
